Enrollment is not cloned. So any student added to the old course would not show up in the new course.

Sections are actually not even a property of a course, i.e., there is no list of sections. Sections only come into "existence" if the course has a student who has that section assigned to him or her.

However, during cloning, all parameters except those for individual students are cloned - that includes parameters for sections. Once a student with that section-name is enrolled, that cloned parameter would kick in.
