[LON-CAPA-users] IMS package imports

HI All,

We’re looking at creating a testbank of old exam questions and are trying to think through best case scenario for usability of these questions going forward. One strong use case would be bringing them into Lon Capa. I see that Lon Capa has the ability to “Import IMS package” but in the dialogue that opens the options given are based on CMS used to create the package. In  our case, we’d likely be looking at generating these ourselves to conform to one of the IMS QTI standards (1.1 can apparently be generated by Respondus, so that might be a possibility; 2.0 is the current final QTI version).  Has anyone done work along these lines or otherwise able to offer recommendations/suggestions? It does occur to me that I could hope that one of the four CMS Import options offered in Lon Capa corresponds to an IMS standard but thought I’d ask for experiences and recommendations here.
