Yep, please don't do this yet. I have to think more about the following:

* change part names
* republish
* re-grade the complete exam

The above *might* work fine, since part names are to my knowledge not 
figured into the randomization.

BUT DON'T DO THIS YET! I need to check some more.

Another option might be to find out where exactly the spreadsheet is 
having problems with the partname, and give you a fixed spreadsheet 
code.

How quickly do you need this to work?

I always try to err on the safe side and only use alphanumeric, no 
special chars at all.
