[LON-CAPA-users] Limit on Attachments for internal messaging

In LON-CAPA 2.11.2 and earlier the max file size for an attachment to a LON-CAPA message is statically set to 128 kB. Code changes already committed to CVS for lonmsgdisplay.pm (for incorporation in a future release) raise that to 1 MB.
I have now added bug 6895 (see: bugs.loncapa.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6895 ) which requests making the attachment size limit configurable. Feel free to add comments to that bug report.

Subject: [LON-CAPA-users] Limit on Attachments for internal messaging
Either I’m missing something or there’s a parameter in LC that actually isn’t
I’m hoping I’m missing something.
There is a 128 KB max size limit for Attachments in broadcast messages.
I’d like this to be larger (for example, 300KB).
Is this configurable and then where?
Or is this an internal limit in the perl implementation of the internal messaging
(which I can easily believe as well).
I’ve checked course and domain configuration menus. I’m hoping I missed it
