<div>I have a number of labs that do this. For an example, look in /res/mon=
roe/brewington/Chemistry/labs/02-NuclearChem/HalfLife.<br><br>Spreadsheet.p=
roblem allows the student to download an Excel spreadsheet. (There are some=
extra instructions for us, since our school computers have restrictive sec=
urity and prevent Excel sheets from being saved). Some of the other verbiag=
e deals with the issue that my students also need to download a little add-=
in which supports the grading logic in the spreadsheet.<br><br>The spreadsh=
eet checks their responses for correctness (sort of a simpler LonCapa!). Wh=
en they successfully complete the spreadsheet, a unique code is generated f=
or the student (indicating completion). That answer code is entered as a pr=
oblem response in LonCapa. This in turn pops up another problem part where =
they send their spreadsheet back to me using a dropbox.<br><br>brew<br><br>=

enerated a csv (or xls) file within a problem and then <br>has a link point=

s in a csv file. The students click on the <br>link which will then open th=

spreadsheet and enter the results of <br>their calculations on loncapa. Th=
