[LON-CAPA-users] New imported problem issue

Oh - by assign assessment, I mean assign a spreadsheet assessment to that
resource.

In this case, for example, I had created a lab consisting of 4 or 5 pieces
(html screens and normal problems). These all went together to form the lab
for the student to do. I want to grade this lab using Lab_assesscalc. When
I assigned this assessment, either via the drop down for the folder level
or by assigning to individual problems, they didn't seem to take - meaning
the problems did not show the assessment on the refreshed screen.

It sounds like you already know about the issue with the problems showing
up twice. It acts like this inability to set the assessment calculation is
related to the twice problem. When I created the second directory, thus
getting rid of the double set of problems, the spreadsheet assignments
worked normally.

So, it sounds like the problem is the issue with the problems showing up
twice, and you have a bug report for it, so I am fine now.

I assume you mean as CC have a '06-Gases' folder in your course, which
you can create a 'Molar Volume' subfolder in, then import resources
from /res/monroe/... into this sub-folder.

I had no problem with this (in my test course I have 'Upper Folder',
inside of it is 'Lower Folder' inside of that is some problems)

Main Menu -> PARM -> Set/Modify Resource Parameters - Table Mode

I change the 'Select Enclosing Map or Folder' to 'Lower Folder'

Click 'Update Parameter Display'

I Changed to entry 'Maximum Number of Tries (maxtries)' to 145 and
Save

I then navigate to the problem and it is showing 145 tries available.

Can you tell me what you did different from this?

It should leave out the bottom one (and my test shows this to be true)

Again with the test setup of 'Upper Folder', inside of it is 'Lower
Folder' inside of that is some problems, The folder 'Lower Folder' is
not shown in NAV view.

(This is a design feature for when one need to have holding folders
for things like setting hidden or randomly select and don't want them
to clutter up the course structure.)
