Hi Mark,

The previous behavior charged tries for answers the students might  
not have wanted to have submitted:

In the old behavior, you had all the whining from kids that said they  
did not mean to submit what they did - and some instructors actually  
went in and reset tries. In the worst-case scenario for the new  
behavior, hitting "Enter" just throws away what was entered, meaning,  
they need to enter their answers again, but no tries are lost. Kids  
might do that once or twice, and then stop using "Enter." I also  
think the new behavior is what students would expect if they had not  
seen the old version.

suggested to have a "Submit Everything" button at the bottom of the  
page, which we were not sure about (clutter galore!). If we decide to  
have that button, "Enter" could by default emulate that - but I bet  
we will get the whining again.

I don't think there is a way to disable "Enter," particularly since  
according to the specs, it should not fire in the multipart scenario  
(with multiple input fields) to begin with:
