[LON-CAPA-users] Parameter for username

I tried:

&EXT('environment.firstname') &EXT('environment.lastname')

in a message and it didn't work.  The above works in html and problems 
and has been used for printed exam coversheets.

Matthew happened to be online this morning and told me that he looked at 
lonmsg (the communications package of LON-CAPA) and said that he can't 
see anything indicating that a message text is parsed in anyway.

I'm about 99% sure the answer is that this feature doesn't exist.  I 
even found a bug report about that I don't remember writing in May at:
