Doesn't look like it.

The LONCAPA-prerequisites-1.25 rpm for RHEL7 available from install.loncapa.org requires the following texlive rpms:

texlive
texlive-acrotex
texlive-actuarialangle
texlive-dejavu
texlive-dvips
texlive-latex
texlive-metapost
texlive-metapost-bin
texlive-multirow
texlive-wrapfig

For comparison the LONCAPA-prerequisites-1.25 rpms available for CentOS 7 and Scientific Linux 7 from install.loncapa.org require the following texlive rpms:

texlive
texlive-acrotex
texlive-actuarialangle
texlive-dejavu
texlive-dvips
texlive-latex
texlive-metapost
texlive-metapost-bin
texlive-multirow
texlive-wrapfig
texlive-xtab

So texlive-xtab is the only texlive package which is included for CentOS/Scientific Linux 7, but absent for RHEL.

I have now added a LONCAPA-prerequisites-1-25.1 (which includes the texlive-xtab) to the RHEL7 repo on install.loncapa.org

yum update LONCAPA-prerequisites

should pull in the texlive-xtab dependency. If not, run:
yum clean all

then

yum update LONCAPA-prerequisites

Subject: [LON-CAPA-admin] RHEL7 and xtab.sty

Hi,

We just bumped machines up to RHEL7. I now have a printing error:

----------------------------------------
! LaTeX Error: File `xtab.sty' not found.

Type X to quit or
 to proceed,
or enter new name. (Default extension: sty)

Enter file name:
! Emergency stop.

l.19 \usepackage
                {tabularx}^^M
*** (cannot \read from terminal in nonstop modes)
———————————————————————

It looks like the following package is not installed but should be:
texlive-xtab.noarch

I will try loading it tomorrow after I get root privileges, but in the meantime - has anyone run into
this? Are there any other style files that don’t get loaded with RHEL7?

Thanks!
Mark
