[LON-CAPA-admin] Killing a lonc connection

Hi,

If a lonc processes goes dead, what happens if one 'kills' the process?
Will it come back to life if needed?

Or is it more appropriate to do a loncontrol reload? (which is what I was doing,
but I'm not sure if data is being lost when I do this.)
