[LON-CAPA-admin] Previously Awarded Points have Disappeared

Hi all,

I've got no idea on this one, and am not sure where to look:

*Students did some homework, due date past, points were awarded
*Resources were hidden for an online exam
*After the exam resources were unhidden
*The previously awarded points are gone

We seem to have narrowed down the disappearance to around the time the
online exam occurred--The exam was June 25, and resources were reopened
late that afternoon. This could just be a coincidence.

The points have disappeared only for resources from ohiou. Points for
resources from our domain (csm) and others (including msu) seem to be
unaffected.

When we go to manually grade the effected resources, and display "all
details" of the submissions, we can clearly see that
part_*_solved="correct_by_student". However, there is no indication of
a grade (points) ever being assigned.

It is almost as if someone did a "reset status" just for these problems,
for every student in the class. Not only would it be an odd thing to do
(resources in at least two different folders are affected), those with
grading privileges in the course have no recollection of taking such an
action. Is there a log that might tell us if this did happen?

The good news is that we can resurrect the scores. It would be nice if
we could do it in a non-manual fashion. Any ideas?

This also has us a bit spooked, so any ideas on what might have
happened, how we might try to track down what happened, or keep it from
happening in the future would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance for any help,

Todd
