http://www.loncapa.org/hardwareupgrade.html

Tries to be a comprehensive guide to switching machines.

During wihich time a switch in distribution should be fine.

We try to support both equally.

I'm not aware of any large differences between them in terms of ease
of use or upgrade/update support.

They do some things differently from each other and some people prefer
one over the other.

I have no strong affliation with one over the other.

We support installs on both SLES and SuSE
http://install.loncapa.org/

Has install paths for OpenSuSE 10.2/10.1/9.3 and SLES 10/9
