Thank you very much Mark,

Me for this time I ended up discovering that it was really alone don´t
istall the php, now I have a problem to begin the httpd

"starting httpd: [Wed Sep 06 14:57:11 2006] [warn] it modulates perl_module
i already loaded, skipping "

I don't know as solving.

But, thank you for the attention

Rodrigo,

You'll get a better explanation from someone else shortly, but the short
answer is: don't install php. There is a a conflict and LON-CAPA won't
work. This is just telling you this early.

LON-CAPA is best run on a dedicated machine.

The instructions explicitly state to do a minimal server install (base
package only). When I brought up a bunch of new machines this August, I
had to uncheck 5 or 6 options in the FC5 install. I install GNOME or KDE.
One of the big one's, though, is php. This is due to conflicts in the
system with (I think) modperl.

Uninstall any php-related packages and try again.

Hope this helps - I'm sure Guy can elaborate,

Mark
