Gerd is somewhat accurate here.

In the student's home directory is a file that logs

- login
- logout 
- role selection
- critical messages sent to

for the specific user.

(it is name activity.log the format is

timestamp:lonID of machine activity occured on:activity


This data can only be viewed currently by wandering around the FS and
taking a look at the file.


Additionaly Courses also have n activity.log file.

This file logs all actions taken by students in a course, vierwing of
resources / problems/ submissions to problesm/ grading of problems
etc.

Normally:

> The course coordinator can view it from email messages or from the

This is the 'View recent activity link'.

This link is a bit dysfunctional under 2.0.* and is the main reason
2.0.2 will be coming out this week.

(no data is lost but you may get a 'No data was returned for your
request')

An improved version of parse_activity_log.pl was just completed. But
more testing need to occur first.

Maybe later today/tommorrow I can point you to it.
