[LON-CAPA-admin] Sponsorship for LON-CAPA Conference

Hi,

Just a little piece of good news: Dell Computer agreed to contribute 
funds toward one of the dinners of our upcoming LON-CAPA conference, 
January 7-8, 2005, in South Carolina (I hope it's on your calendars!)

As participation in our conferences is increasing (see chart at 
http://www.lon-capa.org/conferences.html), we need to re-think both the 
format and the financing of these meetings.

Regarding format, I am pretty sure we are going to have far less 
plenary sessions, and instead have posters (hopefully with interactive 
demos), and discipline-specific parallel sessions.

Regarding supplemental financing, I think I am going to also pursue the 
publishing companies - we then might have book tables at the 
conference. Any other ideas would be welcome.
