[LON-CAPA-admin] mysql and update

I've just updated our servers here but have NOT restarted mysqld.

How would I know if I needed to restart that?

I see the warning Mark mentions but it only says 
'It may be neccessary to restart MySQL at this time.'

For now I am going to not do that until I learn more...
