[LON-CAPA-admin] Purchasing questions

Hi-

I'm about to blow the wad on 4 Power Edge 2650's. I'm doing some research 
on this end, but am curious if anybody has input on the following issues:

- I'm looking at either a 36GB 15K RPM or a 73G 10K RPM drive for the
  library server. Any experience with the tradeoff between speed and size?

- Access servers will be 36GB 10K RPM

- How big of a performance difference is there between DDR RAM and DDR 200 
   RAM?

- Which level of RAID do people use for their library servers?

- I'm looking at dual 2.0 GHz Xeons for the emphasis on crunching power.
  (also looking at all 2650s for interchangeability) Any comments on this?
