[LON-CAPA-admin] Lon-capa password character limit?

Hello,

Is the password field at the lon-capa login screen limited to 13 
characters?
We are using university LDAP for authenication.  For a certain student -- 
this doesn't seem to be a problem with other university 
portals/apps/resources.
The lon-capa authenication is failing for this user. Please clarify.
