Hi,

It's the middle of the summer, but the new semester (or school year)
is approaching mercilessly - and part of the feedback from the last
conference was that several people had hoped for more guided work
time to get ready for it.

As always, your wish is our command. We would like to invite you to
the first LON-CAPA

Get-Ready-For-The-New-Semester Workshop
August 2nd-7th, 2006
Michigan State University, East Lansing

Sorry for the awkward times, we had to work around the schedule for
the computer lab. The idea is that you bring materials and anything
you need to get ready for the next semester (or school year), we sit
down in a computer lab, and get it over with. Folks from the LON-CAPA
Group will be available to help, and you can also help each other. No
formal sessions except "on demand."

You can come anytime during the above time period (but make sure to
register).

On a first-come-first-serve base, we can provide lodging and travel
support for this event. If you need air-transportation, you need to
be there a minimum of three days, though, to be eligible for support.

Please email Gerd (korte@lite.msu.edu) to register. I'll provide you
with information on how to book the flights and arrange for housing.

- Gerd.
