The Math Dept at TMCC is contemplating using lon-capa for a
comprehensive final exams for our Math classes. One question
we have in this regard is about security. Clearly lon-capa
is able to open an exam and close it again at specified
times, like at the beginning/end of the exam period. The
question is how best to assure that no students logs in from outside
the exam room, like from home, and takes the exam from there. Does
lon-capa have some feature to prevent this, or is it planned?

One way of solving this is to require that students need to enter a
password (given by a proctor at the beginning of the exam period) before
the exam comes up. Is such a feature going to be available?

Lars.
