I have created a bug report for this: bugs.loncapa.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6888 and have implemented changes such that slot status is ignored when rendering content in the grading interface for the "View of
the problem for user" and "Correct answer for user" boxes.
Those changes are included in a 2.11.3 LON-CAPA release, which I am currently putting together.

Subject: [LON-CAPA-users] Viewing student work in a slot-protected problem?
HI All,
Our lab content is accessed via a teacher-assigned slot that restricts access to the pool of IP addresses in our private network in our labs -- this to reduce "creation of lab results" in dorm rooms, etc... This works great BUT one downside to this is that when an instructor goes via Assessment Chart to view a student's work, what the instructor sees is "You are not currently signed up to work at this time and/or place" -- basically the slot message. This occurs despite the fact that the instructor's IP address IS whitelisted and able to access the labs when going to them directly via course content. Any idea how we can address this? In addition to not being able to see the student view of the problem, it is also the case that the correct answers for the problem are not shown. WE can see the submissions themselves in that section of the page.
Thank you for any guidance you can provide!
