[LON-CAPA-users] does $external::datestatus work with "CLOSE" ?

HI All,

I see on the useful examples page (https://s10.lite.msu.edu/res/msu/albertel/test/ext_examples.problem) that there is a possible status for $external::datestatus of "CLOSE" This would be perfect for a specific need we have for helping students move forward after a particular assignment is closed, not open to be viewed. HOWEVER, in testing in the authoring space at least, the conditional block I'm using with the condition being that the problem is closed, is not showing when the problem is closed -- only the default message of This problem is "Not open to be viewed." This makes sense on the one hand, but then I'm not sure what the purpose is of being able to work with the CLOSE condition. Is that for looking at other problems or is there a way to use that along the lines I'm trying to do so? Thanks!
