Thank you. I had not tried request.role. I tried several other variations (user.role, user.course.role, environment.role) but not request. Yes, that works. Thank you!

Hi,

Have you try &EXT('request.role')? Returns st... for students, cc. for course coordinator.

Hi All,

Is there an environment variable or EXT function that returns the user's role in the course? There is so much useful information at

that I make use of all the time, but "role" is not there and I'm a bit surprised. What I'd like to do is provide information to course coordinators that is not provided to students, so I figured a conditional block based on role would do that. Thanks as always for any help you can provide!
