I just learned that Veselin Jungic (Simon Fraser University) is the recipient of the 2012 Excellence in Teaching Award of the Canadian Mathematical Society: http://cms.math.ca/MediaReleases/2012/et-announcement

Earlier this year, Peter Riegler (Ostfalia University of Applied Science) became the German Professor of the Year in the category National Science and Medicine of the university magazine UNICUM: http://www.professordesjahres.de/

That makes two active LON-CAPA users recipients of national teaching awards this year.
