[LON-CAPA-users] Anonymous discussion?

You could always have a temporary account that has access to only one class
(which only has the discussion board) that everyone has the password to. Bad
for security exactly because you never know who is using the account.
Completely anonymous. You can disable the account once the discussion is
over.

Hi,

Nope, sorry, we don't have that feature.

an anonymous discussion board for IRB purposes. I know that students can
choose to post anonymously, but even then instructors and course
coordinators have access to the username of the poster. That just doesn't
fly in this particular case. Is there a discussion mode in which all
identifying features can be turned off so that even course coordinators
can't identify the poster?
