This issue can occur on a server running LON-CAPA 2.10.0, when, during
a network-wide search, a connection needs to be made to another
LON-CAPA server which has been configured using a particular type of
network address translation scheme.

As the issue was resolved with changes made for 2.10.1, one
possibility is to direct your instructor(s) to log-in to a 2.10.1
server (e.g., https://loncapa.msu.edu/adm/login) when the instructor
plans to use standard search. Most servers in the LON-CAPA network
are currently running 2.10.1
