Hi Lars,
Just a space-formated file for which you can specify your desired format in
the control file
home/httpd/lonTabs/scantronformat.tab
That file contains comments explaining it's own requirements.

There's an example described on page 24 in
http:\\www.lon-capa.org\presentations\scantron.pdf
