[LON-CAPA-users] Grant for German universities

Hi,

Some good news: under the leadership of Prof. Peter Riegler, a  
consortium of three German universities (Braunschweig/Wolfenbuettel,  
Oldenburg/Ostfriesland/Wilhelmshaven, and Hannover) received a  
200,000 Euro ($262,000; more like $500,000, since there is no  
ridiculously high overhead) three-year grant for the development and  
deployment of computer-based problems in the basic sciences. The  
problems will be developed in LON-CAPA and take advantage of the new  
symbolic algebra capabilities we are currently testing. MSU is  
involved as partner institution through myself as co-PI.
