Hi Lars,

> contentclose
> contentopen (vs opendate)

These are used for controlling access to content rather than homework.

In 1.2 they work for html pages, we will be extending the usage of
them so they will properly work on all other resources.

> hiddenparts

This can be used to hide one or more parts of a problem from the
students

It is a comma sepearted list of part ids to not show

You can also do

!partid

if you want to hide everything but a specific partid

> interval

If you want a homework problem to be open for only 30 minutes, but
want to students to pick the 30 minutes you can use this.

(For example set the open date to today 1 pm, and the due date
tommorrow 1 pm, and the interval to 30 minutes, then the student can
login and access the problem at any time between 1 pm today and 1pm
tommorrow, but as soon as they look at it, the 30 minute timer kicks
in)

When they first access a resource with an interval set, they are shown
a page that tells them this, and the timer only really starts once
they say 'Start Timer'

Timers are shared across resources, if you set a 30 minute interval at the
sequence/folder level, then as soon as they access one resource in
that sequence the timer starts ticking on all of the resources in that
sequence.

If the interval is set at the resource level then there is a seperate
timer just for that resource.

> numbubbles (if =0 does this mean no FDBK?)

This controls the number of fake answers to generate for a numerical
response problem when it is set to exam mode. (I.e the number of
bubbles on the bubble sheet.)

Other new parameters for 1.2 (which are more self evident)
> Discussion End Time (discussend)
-applies to both homework and content (and bulletin boards)
> Hide Closed Discussion (discusshide)
-applies to both homework and content (and bulletin boards)
> Part Description (display)
-if this is set then this is what the student is show instead of
the Id number, you can also set this when constructing a problem
