Dear Dr. Jensen:

install.lon-capa.org is experiencing a much-needed shift in
the installation strategy that we have been planning for a while.

We are trying to work through the glitches and move quickly from
the CVS:latest to CVS:STABLE release.

Currently, install.lon-capa.org is not
synchronized with both CVS:latest and CVS:STABLE.

Therefore, I encourage you to use the updating commands that
you are experienced with such as
"cvs update -d; cd loncom/build; make build; make install"

If you need a more specific explanation, please call me
at 517-410-4049.

The UPDATE command is not available at
http://install.lon-capa.org/versions/current/.

UPDATE has been available in a preliminary status at
http://install.lon-capa.org/versions/unstable_latest/

Regards,
Scott
