    Macintosh-style interaction design has reached its limits. A new
    paradigm, called results-oriented UI, might well be the way to
    empower users in the future. 

I feel that the new UI paradigm is similar to the description of the 
Next Generation CMS described at http://www.loncapa.org/nextgencms.html.
