Nathan,

LON-CAPA currently supports enterprise Single Sign On with both Shibboleth (an open source SAML implementation) and also CAS, e.g., mod_auth_cas by Apereo, or homegrown Apache modules (such as Sentinel at MSU).

Integration with LDAP for authentication can also be done using the customizable /home/httpd/lib/perl/localauth.pm module, but in that case when users login they will provide their credentials via the standard LON-CAPA log-in page.

LON-CAPA documentation is as follows:

loncapa.msu.edu/adm/help/Institutional_Integration_Shibboleth.hlp
loncapa.msu.edu/adm/help/Institutional_Integration_CAS.hlp
loncapa.msu.edu/adm/help/Institutional_Integration_Authentication.hlp

Subject: [LON-CAPA-admin] enterprise login

My university use MS exchange (StarID via LDAP or SAML?) for authentication (email, registration, D2L courseware, etc). Does lon-capa interact nicely with these authentication services?
