[LON-CAPA-admin] Hardware - the age-old question

Central State University in Ohio is looking to start up a LON-CAPA server and
the age-old question comes up. What hardware?

What are people’s current favorite configurations?

For a combined library/access server, 

* Memory? minimum 16GB? minimum 32?

* RAID - 0 or 5 with SAS disks?

* What’s the sweet spot in processors these days?

* Gigabit ethernet

Any advice would be appreciated.
