Uh, "in this domain" does NOT mean my home server's domain but the
domain which is selected in the drop down box below! With the select "in
this domain" and "nds" I can find the user and grant the privileges.

This seems to be the reason why I cannot find the user with the
selection "in institutional directory". Thanks for this hint.
I thought that this selection will search both, instituational and
domain directory. "Institution" and "Institutional Directory" are not
such connected as I have originally thought.
Hopefully we will find answers to the rest of the questions, too.
