[LON-CAPA-admin] strange lonnet.log messages

i am seeing literally hundreds of messages which look like:

Wed Jan  4 18:58:43 2006 (2509): spx:schoenigmg:spxl3:Denied by role:  
pch for spx_7l3069229cdb843caspxl3/8 as st in spx_7l3069229cdb843caspxl3

in my lonnet.log, at the rate of several per minute while users are  
logged in, and don't remember seeing them before.  anyone know if  
this is something to be worried about?
