[LON-CAPA-admin] Authentication problem on access server

Just a thought, what is in your /etc/hosts file? One version of FC3 put it 
the wrong entry. It should be something like

# Do not remove the following line, or various programs
# that require network functionality will fail.
127.0.0.1               localhost.localdomain localhost
128.186.7.100           tycho.physics.fsu.edu tycho
