[LON-CAPA-admin] missing execvp

Didn't loose my httpd yet, but the cron job helped me to find the 
undead processes that raise my load count. Whenever 
/usr/local/loncapa/bin/CHECKRPMS --cronmail runs, it leaves these two 
processes behind:
www      14566 14562  0 03:10 ?        00:00:00 sh -c /usr/bin/yum 
check-update >>/tmp/CHECKRPMS.14562
www      14567 14566  0 03:10 ?        00:00:00 /usr/bin/python 
/usr/bin/yum check-update

while the first one can be killed manually, the second one refuses to 
die...

Any suggestions?
