[LON-CAPA-admin] update to 1.1.99.5 didn't work!

Yeah, that's right; that's NOT what I wanted to hear.  I guess I'll have it
do a filesystem check.  Good thing it's the access server.

Are there any advanced sort of checks to find out if it is actually a
filesystem problem and not something else?  For the record, that error
message:

I've always seen this stuff above. (and on my other machines)  It's the
message below that is new.

Hi Nathan,

This is probably not what you would like to hear, but my Linux laptop
did similar weird things (emacs would be kaputt, etc) when its disk had
a bunch of bad blocks.

# shutdown -rF now

forces the box to perform a filesystem check on reboot.
