[LON-CAPA-admin] backup question

As suggested here, before upgrading schubert to RH 7.3, I am creating
tar back-ups of the directories /home and /etc.

In backing up /home I do the following as root:

cd /
tar -czpf home.tgz home

In doing this I got the following output:

tar: home/httpd/sockets/msudemol1: socket ignored
tar: home/httpd/sockets/msua1: socket ignored
tar: home/httpd/sockets/nscll1: socket ignored
tar: home/httpd/sockets/msua4: socket ignored
...

My questions are:

1) Do I need to worry about this?
2) Did I use the right flags for my backup?

Happy New Year,
Lars.
